Terms & disclaimer
Independent site
DecodedCars is not a government website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NHTSA, the EPA, the U.S. Department of Transportation, Wikipedia/Wikimedia or any vehicle manufacturer. Brand and model names are used only to identify vehicles.
Information only
Everything on DecodedCars is provided for general information. It is not mechanical, legal, safety or purchasing advice. Recall coverage depends on the individual vehicle: the only reliable way to know whether your car has an open recall is a VIN check at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with an authorized dealer.
Data limits
- Owner complaints are unverified reports and do not prove a defect.
- MPG, range and fuel cost are EPA estimates; real-world results vary.
- Trims and equipment come from what manufacturers report to NHTSA and may not include every version.
- Pros and cons are calculated comparisons of data, not reviews or road tests.
- Matching between NHTSA and EPA records is automated and can occasionally group or split models differently from the manufacturer.
- Data is refreshed once a day and may lag the official sources.
Third-party content
Model overviews come from Wikipedia under CC BY-SA 4.0 and photos from Wikimedia Commons under the license shown with each photo; both remain the work of their authors. Links to NHTSA and other sites are provided for convenience, and we're not responsible for their content.
No warranty
Information is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. DecodedCars is not liable for decisions made or actions taken based on it. Before buying, confirm important details with the seller, the manufacturer and an independent inspection.
